Day 1: Airport pick up –Kigali

On your arrival at Kigali international airport you will be met and welcomed by your safari guide who will transfer you to Kigali. If your flight arrives in the morning, you will have a chance to visit some of the interesting places around Kigali like the genocide memorial sites, national museum, and craft markets among others. Dinner and an overnight stay at Kigali Serena Hotel/ Chez Lando/ Des Mille Collines

Day 2: Transfer to parc des Volcans (volcanoes national park)

After a morning breakfast embark on a transfer to volcanoes national park with a scenic journey to volcanoes national park through the beautiful terrain of the rolling hills with terraced landscape arrive at the park in time for lunch and relaxation. If the evening is free go for a community walk to meet the neighboring people around the park, they will entertain you through their cultural music and dance. Dinner and an overnight at (luxury) Sabyinya Silverback Lodge, Gorilla Nest Lodge/ (Midrange) Le Bombou Lodge/ (Budget) Kinigi Guest House

Day 3: Mountain gorilla tracking    

After breakfast, go gorilla tracking in Parc National des Volcans. Tracking the gorillas in this light mountain forest on the slopes of the Virunga is a supernatural experience. The walks might be difficult, an encounter for a family of gorilla is rewarding. Spend an hour with them and be back at the base in time for a late lunch, although some groups ate are elusive so tracking can go to a full day especially when it’s wet and muddy.

Should the evening be fee, you will embark on the tour of the lakes Burera and Ruhondo. Dinner and an overnight at (luxury) Sabyinya Silverback Lodge, Gorilla Nest Lodge/ (Midrange) Le Bombou Lodge/ (Budget) Kinigi Guest House

Day 4: Transfer to Akagera National park

Enjoy a morning breakfast and then after embark to the eastern side of Rwanda to Akagera National Park one of the most biodiversity Rwanda national hosting the big five games. Enjoy lunch en route and stopovers to some of the interesting places on the way. Arrive in the evening check into your booked accommodation for dinner and an overnight at Akagera game lodge, Luzizi Tented Lodge /Umbrella Pine/Dereva Hotel

Day 5: Game viewing and launch cruise

This day wake up early for breakfast and then after follow the ranger guide to the savannah grassland of the park to catch up with big games that rush out from their hideouts, games expected to see include forest elephant, buffaloes, lion, leopard, giant forest hog, waterbuck, antelopes, gazelle, spotted hyena, warthogs, Burchall’s zebra and giraffe among other. After game drives, come back to the lodge for lunch and then after embark on a 2-3 hours boat ride on the lake Ihema, the boat ride provide more chances of seeing more species of wildlife that live and feed on the lake including schools of hippo and crocodiles, buffaloes and elephant may be spotted along the shoreline and the lake is a fantastic sighting to some great aquatic bird. Dinner and an overnight at Akagera game lodge, Luzizi Tented Lodge/Umbrella Pine/Dereva Hotel

Day 6: Departure

After breakfast the guide will transfer you back to Kigali, if you missed the Kigali city tour, visit places like the genocide memorial Centre; the national museum, cultural sites, market places among other interesting places. After lunch continues to the airport to me meet your departure flight back homes. End of the safari
